During his third year of pre-law studies at Union University in Jackson, TN, Brad surrendered to God's call upon his life and began to prepare for the gospel ministry. Brad graduated from Union University with a B.A. in Religion/History and Political Science in May of 1996 and Mid-America Baptist Theological Seminary with a Master's of Divinity in May of 2001. Brad earned a Doctorate of Ministry in Expository Preaching from the Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary in Wake Forrest, North Carolina in December 2008.

The Lord has blessed Brad's ministry. Beginning with his first pastorate, Brad has brought a spirit of evangelism and commitment to the Word of God. During his ministry at the Gateway Baptist Church in Atoka, Tennessee the Lord used him to lead this new congregation from 35 to over 240 in under three years, while baptizing over 150 people. The church also built a new 16,000 square-foot Family Worship Center using building teams from all over the nation. The Lord then moved Him to work with College Students at the Bellevue Baptist Church in Memphis, Tennessee under the leadership of Dr. Adrian Rogers. During that time, Bellevue approached Brad and asked him to go north and plant a new church in Columbus, Ohio. With Bellevue as the sponsoring church, Brad helped launch the North Metro Church, A Southern Baptist Fellowship, in April of 2000. This church quickly became the fastest growing church start in the history of the State Convention of Baptists in Ohio at that time.

As the Pastor of Temple the church has Brad has seen the church more than double in both Sunday School and Worship attendance. With evangelism as a priority, the church has seen many come to know Christ, with nearly 600 people following the Lord in believer's baptism in just over eight years.

Brad has served on various Associational, State and SBC committees and has preached in over 50 revivals and conferences in the States as well as Latin America and Europe

Brad served as the 2010 President of South Carolina Baptist Convention's Pastor's Conference.
