How to Join Temple

We would love for you to join the Temple Baptist family! There are just a few simple steps to becoming a member at Temple.

  1. Trust Christ by faith for salvation; we want you to share your testimony about your salvation experience.

  2. Be baptized by immersion. We accept baptism from like faith and order churches that practice baptism by immersion.

  3. Request church membership

  4. Complete the New Members Orientation Process

    • You Belong @ Temple-  Attend the Discovery Luncheon.

      • Here you will hear the vision for Temple from our pastoral leadership and meet some leaders from our ministries. See more information below.
      • See when our NEXT Discovery Luncheon will be.
      • RESERVE spots at our next Discovery Luncheon

    • You Believe @ Temple-  Attend the 13 week New Members Class

      • This is a basic doctrinal class taught by Dr. Bill Owens, Th.D.  You can join at any time during the course.
      • Go to the Welcome Center and they will escort you to the class.
      • The class meets during the 1st Bible Fellowship hour

    • You Behave @ Temple-  Sunday afternoon Disciple Lifeclass

      • This class will be discussion oriented and facilitated by our Sr. Pastor, Dr. Brad Whitt
      • You can REGISTER NOW for the class

    • You Become @ Temple- Assessment of your service at Temple

      • This step involves online spiritual gifts inventory, your reviewing and expressing interest in service opportunities, and committing to support all the ministries of Temple.

      • Take the SPIRITUAL GIFTS SURVEY NOW!
        • Once you have completed the survey EMAIL us your results.

Discovery Luncheon

If you would like to know more about becoming a member of Temple, we invite you to participate in one of our Discovery Luncheon events held each quarter. During this event you will learn the story of Temple and hear from our pastor about the requirements, expectations, vision and heart of this great church. To make a reservation for a Discovery Luncheon, please go to our RESERVATION page to schedule which Sunday luncheon you wish to attend. In the event this date is unavailable, you will be notified of an optional date.

The Discovery Luncheon is held in our Fellowship Hall.

Your children are encouraged to join other children and care givers in our play rooms while you attend the Discovery Luncheon.
