Worship

Learning to worship God is an important key to a victorious Christian life. Leading others to do the same is also a great blessing.Involvement in the Music and Worship Ministry gives you an opportunity to do both! Regardless of your age or musical background, the Music and Worship Ministry, led by Pastor Steve Evans, has something to offer you.

VOCAL MUSIC

Children through adults have the opportunity to lift their voices in song through Temple's Worship Ministry. The Temple music program has a great future because we begin teaching children the basics of music and the joy of praising the Lord in our Children's Choirs, then build on that foundation through our Youth & Adult Praise Teams and Temple's Worship Choir.We also have recently started a Senior Adult Choir called "The Rockerettes."

INSTRUMENTAL MUSIC

In the Psalms we are admonished to praise the Lord with "the sounding of the trumpet, praise Him with the harp and lyre, praise Him with tambourine and dancing, praise Him with the strings and flute, praise Him with the clash of cymbals" (Psalm 150:3-5). Through Temple's Instrumental Music Ministry, you will have the opportunity to play your individual instrument or be involved in a group setting such as one of our Handbell or Hand Chime groups.

SPECIAL EVENTS 

Temple presents three special musical presentations that touch many people in our community.Utilizing the Vocal Music Ministry along with the Instrumental Music and Drama Ministries, these special presentations proclaim the truth of God's Word. Celebrations of Christ's birth, His passion and resurrection as well as a Patriotic celebration are yearly events.  To see our current celebration check here.

PHILOSOPHY

Temple's Music and Worship Ministry is marked by a blend of contemporary choruses and favorite hymns. This is intentionally done under the belief that we, as a church body, are called to minister to all those whom the Lord leads to our door. Our worship philosophy differs from many churches today, in that while we recognize that churches do take on certain age and social demographics, we must strive to minister to a broad cross-section of our community.
